It’s really down, so, how can I laugh, when it’s really down…(Sorry, Beatles reference)
It’s been a while since I posted here. Sorry, But, Amateur Radio isn’t the highest priority right now. Staying COVID-19 free is, at the moment.
Anyhow, getting to my point; My VHF/-UHF Station is down for a while. I believe it’s in the Coax and or Antenna. SWR goes to Infinity and no RX, I can hear repeaters but, not really well. Think the center conductor broke in the coax. The Coax wasn’t the best, and it did look a bit rough. I will replace it sooner or later. It’s 40 feet in the air and I don’t climb. My Coax was RG-213U. Not the best for VHF and UHF. But it was the only stuff I had around here, at the time.
In the near future, I hope to pick up a diamond dual band base antenna and some Coax, either 9913 flex or LMR 600 flex. I have basically given up on 220 MHZ, as it is a dead band here. I have the money for it. I just need a COVID-19 free air and someone to climb a tower.
73 for now,
